Monday
12Up Club
Once a month, children aged 12 years old and older are invited to join us for a youth club style session. This usually happens on the first Monday of the month, between 7pm and 9pm. Dinner is provided, along with a range of activities including pool, table football, and other games and activities. If you would like your child/teen to attend, please contact us to book a space.
Tuesday
Little Lights Baby and Toddler Group
Our parent and child group runs every Wednesday from 9:30am - 11:30am term times only, and includes free play, art and craft activities, song time, tea, coffee and squash and hot buttered toast for all who come. There is a voluntary donation of £2 per family. We would love to meet you!
Community Band Practice
Bourne Salvation Army has a community brass band! We practice every Wednesday evening at 7pm, and if you would be interested in joining us, please contact Lt. Sarah on sarah.ogrady@salvationarmy.org.uk for further details.
Thursday
Together Walking Group
Our walking group leaves from Bourne Salvation Army at 10am every Thursday of the term. We walk for an hour, and then have an hour of social chit chat at our hall, with tea and coffee available. Come along and join us for a chat and some exercise.
7Up Kid's Club (For 7+ year olds)
Our Kids Club meets every Thursday from 4pm-6pm, term time only. We have a great time, enjoying building community together, playing pool, games, and sports in fine weather. Dinner is served as part of the club, during which we have a Christian themed circle time chat. There is a £2 per child, and the children are able to bring up to 50p to spend in the tuck shop. If you are interested in your child attending, please contact Lt. Sarah O'Grady on sarah.ogrady@salvationarmy.org.uk. Places are limited so please ensure you book.
Friday
Cafe Connect
Our Cafe Connect sessions take place every Friday between 10am and 4pm. You are invited to come along and meet others, bring a friend or make new ones. Activities are provided including board games, puzzles, arts & crafts etc, and tea, coffee and biscuits are available. This group is free to attend, but voluntary donations are always welcome.
Friday Lunch Club
As part of our Cafe Connect sessions, we also offer a free lunch to our community. We are just starting out with this project, so lunch is simple but delicious, and is currently hot homemade soup, and a sandwich. Do come along, enjoy some company and a healthy hot lunch.
Sally-Anne's Crafting Corner
If you have a skill in crafting of any kind, would you consider volunteering your skills to help raise money for our work? As part of our Cafe Connect sessions (see above), we are asking local crafters to offer their skills to make or mend items for sale in our charity shops. Fabrics, yarn, wood, old furniture and clothing, sewing machines and other crafting materials will be made available, or bring your own donations and tools. Come along, pick some materials, and get crafting. Anything created using our materials, will be sold in Sally-Anne’s, or our Community Furniture Store, to raise funds for our work in and around Bourne. Let’s Get Crafty!
House Groups
House groups run at Bourne Salvation Army every month. These groups meet in the homes of our congregation and are a time of fellowship and discipling. If you are a member of our church, and would like to join a house group, please speak to Lt. Sarah.
