The Booth Centre, Southampton Lifehouse

We run a short term sit-up service available for those who are new to homelessness.

Referrals are made via Street Homeless Prevention Team. 24/7 support is available to access suitable accommodation and other provision as needed.

SStS is situated within the Booth Centre Lifehouse, utilising rooms on the ground floor with separate access. Meals are provided through Sally Anne’s Social Enterprise Cafe on site.

Access to SStS is for 7 - 10 days as an initial period, during which we will provide support in accessing appropriate accommodation and reduce the risk of clients returning to street homelessness.

Clients can access our service through the Southampton Street Homeless Prevention Team and gateway referral panel. We support adults aged 18 – 60 years old, and can also accommodate 3 couples.

We also run a drop-in on Tuesday and Thursday at Cranberry Avenue Day Centre.

As a lifeskills service we support residents on their path to independent living. We help our clients acquire life skills needed to live independently, particularly in shared accommodation.

We also offer support in the form of debt advice, and education and employment training workshops.
