The Salvation Army’s newly appointed UK leaders André and Silvia Cox visited Leeds on Monday to officially open the church and charity’s new Divisional Headquarters for the Yorkshire area.
A well-loved Salvation Army major, who works tirelessly to help her local community in Bournemouth, carried the Olympic Torch through Corfe Castle in Dorset.
The Salvation Army is contracted by the Ministry of Justice to support all victims of human trafficking in England and Wales, including the victims in this case.
A brass band, made up of 20 musicians from the Canonmoor Street church, is to play during the day at the King George V Playing Fields, near St Martin’s Avenue, Hereford. The band will play two half-hour sets, from 11.30am – noon and 1pm – 1.30pm.
