North Devon Salvation Army [Barnstaple Site]

Welcome to North Devon Salvation Army.

We are a small church focusing on living out our values of justice, mercy and faithfulness in the communities of North Devon.

During the week we:

  • Offer practical support to vulnerable or homeless individuals offering emergency shelter as part of our Pod Project and Rough Sleeper Breakfast
  • Run supportive groups for young families [our "Welcome to the Village" activities including Family Space, Space to Grow & HeadSpace]
  • Mentor students and serve as Chaplains in Schools
  • Help to run Delta - a youth drop in-supported by ICE Ilfracombe
  • Support and extend mental health provision within our communities.
  • Support individuals with housing and debt advice
  • Engage in discipleship and spiritual formation
  • Support the work of North Devon Foodbank
  • Help individuals gain confidence to learn and work in our bicycle recycling program Recycles
  • Advocate and challenge local Government to address housing injustices and work with local projects to increase access to housing

Our weekly program changes and develops regularly. Please contact us on our email if you want to know more about something we do or want to get involved.

Shiv's Eden Project Marathon 2024 and London Marathon 2025 for North Devon Salvation Army

I've challenged myself to do not only the Eden Project Marathon in October, but the London marathon in April aswell as just one marathon wasn’t enough. The Eden project Marathon (26.2 miles) will be my first marathon and is a very challenging route, consisting of lots of hills and difficult terrain across the countryside in Cornwall.
