Suggested Gift List for Children and Young People

We believe every child deserves a new gift at Christmas so we are unable to take used or second hand items for the Christmas Present Appeal.

• 0-3 years:  dolls, teddy bears, cot mobiles, baby clothes, bath toys, puzzles
• 3-5: dolls and action figures, cars, lorries, colouring sets, pencils, crayons, books, puzzles
• 5-9: educational games & toys, stationery (colouring sets, pencils, crayons, school sets), books, puzzles, wordsearch, crosswords
• 9-12: games and toys, stationery, books, t-shirts, hair accessories, gloves, scarves, hats
• 13-16: books, make-up and toiletries (please try to ensure non-allergic ingredients if possible), gloves, scarves, hats, t-shirts, hair accessories and gift vouchers

Over the years, millions of children and young people have benefited from gifts donated to The Salvation Army.

By giving a gift to our Christmas Present Appeal you can make a real difference in someone’s life at Christmas.

Wednesdays

• 8am: Men’s Prayer Meeting @ Raikes Parade
• Community Wardrobe: By appointment only @ Raikes Parade
• 4.30-6.30pm: Youth Club @ Dorset Street

Thursdays

• 10-12noon: Coffee and chat @ Raikes Parade
• 12-1pm: Friendship Club hot lunch @ Raikes Parade (Please book in advance with Jacqui Wild)
• 2-3pm: Friendship Club @ Raikes Parade
• 7.30pm: Citadel Band practice @ Raikes Parade

The Bridge Project at Blackpool Citadel is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday for the homeless hub drop-in 9-11am and then hot meals from 12.00-2.00pm.

The community wardrobe is a store of good quality, preloved clothing that is available to people in Blackpool and the Fylde coast who need support with clothing. We can offer clothing for babies, children and adults, There is no charge.

Anyone requiring an appointment can either call into our church building and speak to someone on the reception desk or contact us by phone, 01253 626114, or email blackpool@salvationarmy.org.uk . One of the volunteer team who run the community wardrobe will then make contact to arrange an appointment with you.

Donations of good quality clothing and shoes will be gratefully received at the main entrance to the Salvation army on weekdays between 10am and 3pm or by contacting us at a convenient time.
