Burnside Mill Lifehouse

Our clients must have signed on the homeless register of Dundee City Council, and be ready to engage with staff in an effort to access and maintain their own tenancy.

We accommodate both men and women from the ages of 16 to 65. Their stay at our Lifehouse can range from a few weeks to a few months. All residents are provided with both practical and emotional support by trained staff.

Referrals come from Dundee City Council; clients are drawn from the Council waiting list. We also take referrals from Strathmore Lodge, who identify residents who are ready to engage to improve their chances of accessing and maintaining their own tenancies

We do not have the facilities to accommodate families.

We aim to create a calm, supportive environment where our residents feel empowered and respected. Our facilities include:

• 18 self-contained  flats with bathrooms and cooking facilities.
• Two flats suitable for disabled use
• Laundry, kitchen and dining room
• Communal lounge
• Reception Managers office
• Computer room

Our programmes are designed to help our clients craft a new sense of self, renew their sense of independence and control, and realise their potential as members of the community.
