We are a Sunday School and in a fun and relaxed environment we aim to teach the children the values and bible messages we believe are as relevant today as the years in which they were written. Through songs, games and activities children learn within a relaxed environment alongside children of their own age. We are a group for children and youth from 3 years upwards.

We are a Salvation Army that is steeped in history and tradition and, if children decide they want to, they can progress to become junior members of our church from the age of  7 years where they will have the opportunity to join the junior choir (Singing Company) and the young people's brass band.

Consett Salvation Army is very proud of its musical heritage .not least the fact that the first Salvation Army Band was formed in 1879 here in Consett, just 15 months after The Salvation Army arrived in the town.
