Each Christmas we provide toys and gifts for around 300 children, most of whom are referred to us by local health services and agencies. We can only do this because of the tremendous generosity of the public who kindly donate gifts and money to enable it to happen. We also provide a number of food parcels and vouchers for families who are experiencing financial difficulty around the Christmas season.
If you would like to contribute to the appeal, we would be delighted to receive donations of BRAND NEW toys and gifts suitable for ages 0-18 years old (please note we cannot accept used toys). We prefer gifts to be unwrapped; gift wrap and tape is provided to the family so that they are able to first see the gifts they are giving and then wrap them themselves. These can be dropped off at our church building by prior arrangement (call 0131 667 4313) or at the Salvation Army Donation Centre at Piershill during opening hours. We will not be able to use any gifts donated after the 6th December. Every young person also receives a chocolate selection box, so this is another option you might like to take up.
Alternatively, if you would prefer to make a monetary gift, this can be done by clicking on the donate button on this webpage; money raised through this will be used to purchase gifts and food vouchers.
Thank you for your help over this Christmas season. Between us we can help to make Christmas morning a little brighter for children and families than it might otherwise have been.
