George Williams Lifehouse

Young people (16-21) - are referred primarily by Children’s Social Care through Lancashire County Council. Young people are assessed by social care as being High, Medium or Low priority, depending on their status with them. High priority referrals are considered above all others.

Families with dependent children are referred primarily through Wyre Council. We do accept referrals from both if there is a lack of referral either side.

We aim to create a calm, supportive environment where our residents feel empowered and respected. Our facilities include:

• Fifteen self-contained flats (9 for families and 6 for young people),
• Two laundry rooms
• one communal lounge
• Two gardens
• Three offices that are also used for support work.

Our programme is designed to help our clients craft a new sense of self, renew their sense of independence and control, and realise their potential as members of the community.

Regular consultation and feedback is encouraged with service users in order for George Williams House to improve the services and support that they provide. This is also completed regularly with supporting agencies in order to create a collaborative working partnership.
