Covonavirus Update Re: Worship & Activities

Dear Friends,
It is with much heart searching and great regret that I have to share with you that The Salvation Army in Great Yarmouth will be cancelling many of its weekly activities due to the advise issued by the government in relation to the Covid19 Virus. Our Territorial Headquarters have issued guidelines that all public meetings must stop with immediate effect, this will include Sunday Worship. This will include the cancellation of our fellowship evening this coming Saturday, Sunday Worship and our plans for Easter. However, I am hoping to meet with local leaders on Thursday morning to discuss how we provide effective pastoral care during this period.

We will continue to be open for food parcels by referral from other agencies on Monday and Friday. The community lunch on a Thursday will be a takeaway meal, again people will need to register weekly for catering purposes.

I feel led by God to open the doors for an hour on Sunday Mornings between 10.30am and 11.30am for prayer only. This will be unstructured and if you wish to come and join me at anytime you would be welcome. Please be aware always of the guidelines that our government and health care givers are issuing regarding your personal safety and the wellbeing of those around you. You’re welcome to join with me on Sundays in prayer in your own home as we seek God to heal and bless our world.

Regards
