A camping trip to climb Mount Snowdon was attended by service users who engaged in meaningful activity through the service’s credit scheme. “I slept on the streets for two months before I found the Harnall Lifehouse, the support they have given me has helped me turn my life around. I have my own place now and I’m clean from alcohol. My next goal is finding work and I know I’m going to do it.” (A resident’s view)
The Salvation Army has been awarded a new prime contract by Coventry City Council for a city-wide service for those facing homelessness or with a history of offending behaviour. This new contract will take affect from the 1st of April 2014, in which The Salvation Army will act as a prime contractor working with the local authority and seven other partners in subcontracted relationships, alongside self-delivering homelessness services. This is an exciting new opportunity to further the work and mission of the organisation in Coventry.
