The Salvation Army works with some of the most vulnerable people in society. As we face the worst public health crisis in our lifetime, people on the margins need us now more than ever.

From running food banks and checking up on people who live alone, to offering counselling and supporting NHS isolation units, Salvation Army churches all over the country are responding to the crisis in dozens of different ways.

10:30am Morning Meeting

Our community and social work is fuelled by our worship - church services that feed the soul and cultivate compassion. Each Sunday we hold open worship meetings from 10:30am.

Every Sunday except last Sunday of each month @ The Salvation Army, Minden Street.

On the Last Sunday of each month, we meet in Millennium Park, St Helier.

We also publish a weekly newsletter with some resources for prayer, musical worship and a short thought. If you would like to receive this newsletter each week, please call our office on 01534 735472 and request a copy either by email or post. 

Alongside our Community Cafe and Charity Shop, we run a Lunch Club providing a free lunch, a warm welcome and friendship - every Monday at 1pm in our centre in Minden Street.

Our cafe is a place of welcome for all. Each day we serve freshly homemade soups free of charge - because we believe that no one should go hungry in Jersey. We have also partnered with the local Highlands College and Jersey Employment Trust to offer work experience placements, helping people gain the confidence and skills to gain and flourish in paid employment.

We believe everyone is beautifully created and has immense worth. We also see so many people struggling in so many ways.

We offer practical support in so many ways. Every day we provide free soup in our cafe, and will always be happy to sit and listen, if you want someone to talk to.

We can provide practical and financial assistance for people in crisis. This might be a food parcel, utility top-up, clothes, a home starter pack, and so much more.

We might not always be the best people to offer practical needs, but we can help connect you with sources of support either by making referrals or signposting to other charities and organisations. If we can't help, we probably know who can!
