    • Open to everyone. This group meets for a relaxed chat around the theme of that morning's worship or any other relevant topic of the day.

10.30 am - 1.30 pm 

  • Community Cafe:

    • Open for hot drinks and light refreshments including bacon, sausage or egg baps!
    • Our friendly vounteers offer a listening ear and a safe space to hang around.
    • There is a jigsaw on the go and other things to do or you can bring your own hobbies like colouring, knitting, etc.
    • Whilst you are with us we can deal with general enquiries, questions about faith in God, and offer practical help where needed.
    • Drop - In:
    • People are referred to us for showers or laundry washing, clothing, food parcels, tents/sleeping bags and many other needs which where possible we try to help with.
    • Sometimes people just drop in for help without a referral. Donations of toiletries, food, gifts and clothing are always welcome.

  • Thursdays

    • 9.30 am - 12 noon
    • Meet us in the Market Place by the fountain to get a War Cry, have a chat, a prayer or for general enquiries
    • 7 pm 
    • Band and Songster (Choir) practices.
    • Practises are on alternate weeks

The War Cry

  • is the Salvation Army's own 'new look' weekly magazine full of inspiring stories, topical issues featuring regular health articles and recipe plus much more!
  • First appearing in 1879, the War Cry still promotes the positive impact of the Christian faith and The Salvation Army's fight for greater social justice, hence the name of the magazine 'The War Cry'

Annual Charity Carol Service

Concert in aid of local charity BACA which helps unaccompanied children (refugees/trafficked) to make a fresh start in life.

Featuring Soloist David Holmes, Salvation Army Band, Choir and Timbrelists and Baca representatives will speak about their work locally.

Tickets: £3 at the door including coffee/tea and mince pies.

Community Carol Singing 

If you have a moment and fancy a little carol singing please join us for one or more carols. We welcome requests! Tesco providing singers with drink and mince pies!

Salvation Army Charity Shop

The Salvation Army has a charity shop in Loughborough.

The address is 34 Devonshire Square. The charity shop is situated between the fish and chip shop and The Cheesecake company. The shop is near Home Bargains and not far from the Town Hall clock!

The Salvation Army church and community centre in Burleigh Rd provides volunteers to help in a variety of tasks. 

If you would like to find out more about volunteering opportunities in the shop please contact the manager and mention that you saw this advert on our website and that you would like to help the Salvation Army locally.

The charity shop accepts donations of clothing, household items, books and electrical goods. If you have something to donate but are not sure if it would be accepted you can contact them on 01509 260697 They cannot take furniture.

This charity shop has just been awarded certificates for best Salvation Army charity shop in the region.
