Crocheted hearts spread message of hope in Ballymoney

Lieutenant Tim and Major Jane-Marie Cook, who lead the community church, say the idea to send out hearts along with a short scripture verse is to let people know someone is thinking about them during this difficult time.

Tim said: "As part of our befriending service we speak to a lot of people on the telephone who are lonely, self isolating or have lost loved ones. Social isolation was already a massive reason for people being lonely but this has increased significantly during the coronavirus crisis.

"If people know someone who would benefit from a regular telephone call or even a heart of hope and scripture verse posted out as a reminder that there are people thinking of them and praying for them, please send a message to our Facebook page."
