The communities of Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Leek are invited to join with The Salvation Army in celebrating Christmas in Longton.
The Carolcade will feature carol singing with the Salvation Army choir, music from the brass band and special guest musicians from the Birmingham Salvation Army Citadel, Gavin and Stephanie Lamplough. The event will be held on 2nd December at 7.30pm at the Central Methodist Hall at The Strand in Longton.
Major Peter Forrest, the Salvation Army West Midlands Divisional Commander said: “This is an important time for all Christians to reflect and prepare for the coming of Christmas. We look with excitement and renewed hope about the story of Jesus, who was able to bring light into the world.”
The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of the City of Stoke-on-Trent together with the Mayor of Newcastle-under-Lyme will be in attendance at the event. The event hopes to attract local families and adults for a time of festive community celebration.
The event is free, however an offering will be taken up which will contribute towards the Central Hall’s repair fund.
