Salvation Army opens pop-up charity shop in London’s South Bank Centre

The Salvation Army Trading Company will be opening a pop-up shop in London’s South Bank Centre for the first time this Saturday (12 December). The famous arts centre will see the grand opening of its much-anticipated Charity Shop Emporium, which will see a number of charities all coming together to offer shoppers and visitors the ultimate charity shop experience under one roof.

The Salvation Army’s shop will be open from 11.30am to 7.30pm on Saturday 12 December and Saturday 18 December. Shoppers will be able to uncover lots of unique second-hand items, including winter-wear and Christmas gifts.

The money raised through the pop-up shop will contribute to The Salvation Army’s valuable work with people who are vulnerable and in need across the UK, including homelessness and addiction services, care for older people, help at emergency incidents, support for adult victims of human trafficking in England and Wales and a Family Tracing Service. Over the last five years alone the Salvation Army Trading Company’s shops and recycling initiatives have donated over £35 million to The Salvation Army.

The pop-up shop in the South Bank Centre is located at Level 2 Foyers at Royal Festival Hall (SE1 8XX). Due to limited space, the team unfortunately won’t be able to accept donations, but The Salvation Army has three London-based charity shops that will happily accept them: Oxford Circus (9 Princes Street, W1B 2LQ), Elephant & Castle (341 Walworth Road, SE17 2AL) and Catford (33 Broadway, SE6 4SN)
