Selah is a podcast from The Salvation Army. We’re a community of people committed to taking time out each weekday to catch our breath, draw near to God and refresh our spirits. Join us on the journey!

We‘ll worship, reflect, and pray together - listening to God and looking at the world as we seek to live the Christian life in the 21st century. We‘ll spend time studying the bible, learning from art and music, responding to the news and considering some of the big questions of life. Key to it all we will also ask ”so what?”. What does any of this mean to me and how is any of it going to affect the way I live?

Together we hope to live transformed lives, spurring each other on toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love. Together let’s see how inventive we can be in encouragement. We‘re so glad you‘re with us.

People are searching for meaning, love and acceptance. Looking to feel validated and that their feelings are legitimate. Looking for ways to navigate a lot of the toxic messages that are out there and to push back on expectations from society and culture.  There is so much negativity out there, diminishing our self-worth, and this can be especially true on Instagram with its focus on beauty standards.  

Feed My Spirit is an attempt to give people the chance for a healthy relationship on this social media platform.  A simple post once or twice a week providing positive content to change the narrative, redefine standards of success  and promote an understanding of a loving God who values us infinitely and is the source of our life’s meaning and worth.

CVC is hosted on Discord, a platform for text based, audio and video communication spaces. It’s very easy to use and navigate. Our space within Discord is always adapting to meet the needs of its community. From video requests/sharing and competitions to discussions of relevant imagery, meaning of music and prayer requests. Our aim is to encourage deeper, meaningful conversation and allow the Holy Spirit to flow through everything we do.

Our prayer is that we will be more than just a community of believers talking about technology, we want to bring Jesus and all his goodness into the conversation, encouraging people, with or without faith, and making Jesus relevant in the ever growing online space and in the lives of the people who engage with us.
