Stratford & East Ham Project

Church

As a church we exist to love God and love others. Our support in Newham is very practical and holistic. We offer a psychologically and trauma informed approach.

In our Stratford building, we offer a monthly event for the community to purchase pre-loved items of clothing at very affordable prices. The Community Wardrobe is open to anyone and has items from 50p as well as designer, brand new clothes with tags and labels. Our Baby Wardrobe is open for anyone in need of even more affordable clothing and runs alongside our nappy bank.

Having been established in Stratford in the 1860's, we are one of the oldest Salvation Army's in the world.  We are also a relatively new expression of Church and we are seeking God and leaning into His guidance as we reimagine what it is to be the Church.

We work across two buildings - Stratford and East Ham and work holistically to support the local communities in which we are embedded. Our service to the community is our act of worship and we engage with God through supporting others.

The East Ham Project is linked to Stratford Salvation Army and is seeking to serve the community that it is in. You can visit us at:
