Once again this Christmas, we hope to be able to provide toys and gifts to those who would otherwise struggle, along with a hamper of festive food. We work with local schools, health visitors and social services to identify those who would benefit from some help.
We are collecting new, unwrapped toys and gifts and food to be able to fulfil this.
Suggested Gift List for Children and Young People
We believe every child deserves a new gift at Christmas so we are unable to take used or second hand items for the Christmas Present Appeal.
- 0-3 years: dolls, teddy bears, cot mobiles, baby clothes, bath toys, puzzles
- 3-5: dolls and action figures, cars, lorries, colouring sets, pencils, crayons, books, puzzles
- 5-9: educational games & toys, stationery (colouring sets, pencils, crayons, school sets), books, puzzles, wordsearch, crosswords
- 9-12: games and toys, stationery, books, t-shirts, hair accessories, gloves, scarves, hats
- 13-16: books, make-up and toiletries (please try to ensure non-allergic ingredients if possible), gloves, scarves, hats, t-shirts, hair accessories and gift vouchers
Suggested festive food donations
As well as our usual food donations, we would welcome donations of:
- Mince pies
- Christmas or sponge puddings
- Boxes of chocolates / selection packs
- Boxes of Biscuits
- Savoury snacks
We are unable to accept homemade items due to Natasha's Law.
If you're able to help, please drop all donations of toys and food to The Salvation Army hall on Goswell Road by Friday 6th December.
By giving a gift to our Christmas Present Appeal you can make a real difference in someone’s life at Christmas, thank you.

We will usually take one self referral per month if necessary. If you need help, then please contact one of those agencies listed, but you can also reach us directly on 07511 313 339.
