Support our work this winter
This winter, we want to reach out to the people who are suffering the most by bringing joy and hope into their lives.
In the present economic climate, many families will struggle to feed and clothe their children. And there will be some people struggling to keep a roof over their heads and others who will find themselves on cold and dangerous streets. In over 600 communities across the country, The Salvation Army will be doing all we can for people in desperate need, whatever their circumstances.
At The Salvation Army we put faith into action, and offer compassion and practical help to vulnerable people going through difficult times. This winter, we will work hard to find suitable accommodation for people living on the street.
We will reach out to older people suffering from loneliness and offer companionship. And for families struggling to put food on the table, we offer boxes of groceries so parents can feed their children.
Please support our Winter Appeal so we can be there for some of the most vulnerable people into the year ahead.
A gift of:
- £9 could contribute towards one-to-one support work for a homeless person in one of our centres.
- £19 could contribute towards a food parcel to feed a hungry family for a day.
- £45 could pay for 18 lonely older people to enjoy lunch and friendship at a Salvation Army community centre.
