This Christmas, we want to reach out to the people who are suffering the most by bringing joy and hope into their lives.

In the present economic climate, many families will struggle to feed and clothe their children, let alone afford presents and treats. And there will be some people struggling to keep a roof over their heads and others who will find themselves on cold and dangerous streets. In over 600 communities across the country, The Salvation Army will be doing all we can for people in desperate need, whatever their circumstances.

At The Salvation Army we put faith into action and offer compassion and practical help to vulnerable people going through difficult times. This winter, we will work hard to find suitable accommodation for people living on the street. We will reach out to older people suffering from loneliness and offer companionship. And for families struggling to put food on the table, we offer boxes of groceries so parents can feed their children.

Please support our Christmas Appeal so we can be there for some of the most vulnerable people this Christmas.

A gift of:

  • £9 could contribute towards one-to-one support work for a homeless person in one of our centres.
  • £19 could help provide a box of groceries and modest gifts, so that families who are struggling in poverty can share a basic Christmas meal together.
  • £45 could provide a Christmas dinner and the promise of companionship for five lonely older people.
91p out of every pound donated is spent on supporting vulnerable people in communities across the country.
