Ty Dewr Lifehouse

Ty Dewr is a veteran specific service and is for any Ex-Army, Navy or Airforce personnel who find themselves homeless.

Referrals are made via 01978 355410 or Wrexham County Borough Council.

We aim to create a calm, supportive environment where our residents feel empowered and respected. Our facilities include:

• 12 en-suite bedrooms each with a small fridge
• 2 well equipped communal Kitchens
• 2 laundry rooms with free washing machines and tumble dryers
• Full sized pool table and table tennis table
• Outdoor space with rehabilitation gym in the garden
• Vegetable plot for residents to grow their own food

Our programme is designed to help our clients craft a new sense of self, renew their sense of independence and control, and realise their potential as members of the community.

• Employment Plus on site weekly to provide debt advice and volunteering opportunities.
• A DWP-provided Veterans' Champion Work Coach, who attends Ty Dewr every fortnight to talk through benefits and Universal Credit.
• The Poppy Factory attends monthly to help with funding for veterans.
• NHS Wales' Peer Mentor attends monthly to investigate any mental health issues relating to military service.
