CHRISTMAS PRESENT APPEAL 2024
Please support our Christmas Present Appeal. We believe that every child deserves to have a happy Christmas and are now collecting new, unwrapped gifts for children living in Waltham Forest. Working alongside local agencies helps us ensure that gifts go to families most in need, many of whom are facing financial hardship or are survivors of domestic abuse and human trafficking. Gift Ideas
We receive referrals for children of all ages, from birth to 17. Here are some ideas that you might find helpful.
- 0-18 months - Chunky puzzles, shape sorters, soft toys suitable for very young children, first book (including soft books), first cars, Vtech toys, sensory blocks/balls.
- 18-24 months - Soft toys, first doll, puzzles, trains and cars, building blocks, dinosaur items, books, Magnetic drawing board, sensory toys, books.
- 3-5 years - Craft items – chunky crayons/pencils, colouring books, playdough and shape cutters, puzzles, first games, building blocks, animals, crafts, tea sets/food sets, books, cars, dolls, sensory toys.
- 5-8 years - Games, children’s umbrellas, crafts sets, puzzles, Polly Pocket sets, cars, dolls, strollers, Lego, role play toys, food sets.
- 8-11 years - Craft sets, stationery, jewellery making, games, puzzles, Lego, things to make, characters, sand sets.
- 11-12 years - Lego, thinks to make, craft sets, magic sets, age appropriate building sets, stationery sets, games, books, Minecraft.
- 13+ - Things to make, age-appropriate Lego, stationery and craft sets, ruck sacks/bags, games, hair dryers, smellies (boys and girls)
Gift vouchers for Walthamstow stores and Primark (with gift receipt showing amount) are really useful and loved by older young people. Please hand these in at the cash desk where they will be entered into a logbook.
