Hadleigh Tearoom

Welcome to our new trainee-led Tearoom, you’ll notice a difference!

When we came back to Hadleigh Training Centre after the pandemic, we decided that we wanted to do things differently in the Tearoom. We wanted to run it and do everything ourselves, and that’s what we’ve been learning ever since. This has meant making lots of changes – let's have a look at some of them.

We are pleased to have been awarded a 5-star hygiene rating.

To begin with, we will only be fully open on Monday and Friday each week. These are the first two trainee groups that are ready to be public facing, but the others aren’t far behind. We will be open intermittently, for training purposes, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - please check our booking system for up-to-date availability.

Our opening hours will be from 11am to 2pm and you can have your table for the whole of that period, we won’t be rushing you out. However, we do ask that you arrive as close as possible to your reservation time and be ready to leave at 2pm, to allow us to perform our end of day tasks such as cashing up, cleaning down, stock checking and ordering.

We decided that it would make things easier for us if we could manage the number of customers arriving at one time, so we have chosen to use an online booking system; you can access this using the calendar below. Pre-booking is essential, and we are currently unable to accept walk-ins. Tables will be released a fortnight in advance.

To start with, we felt it would be easier for us to offer a small selection of food and, for now, we are restricting this to sandwiches, toast, teacakes, cakes and kids meal deal. We have worked extremely hard perfecting our skills in this area and are proud of what we can deliver. When we have become accustomed to running a live service, we may be in a position to offer a more extended menu. Please note, for the same reason, that we cannot offer any dietary alternatives to the items listed on our menu at this time.
