Open Doors Day at Northlands Lifehouse
published on 12 Jul 2018
You are invited to be our special guest at an open doors day at Northlands Lifehouse on Saturday 21 July to celebrate the successes of our highly praised homelessness service in Cardiff.
If you have a heart for the work of The Salvation Army and would like to understand more about the many reasons why young people experience homelessness, such as family break up, our dedicated staff team will be on hand to share with you the successes of our service.
Staff and service users have been planning fun-filled activities to take place on the day which will include face painting, circus and juggling skills and t-shirt painting.
There will also be cake decorating, an inflatable football game, nail painting, temporary tattoos, music, refreshments and more.
And it’s taking place at Northlands Lifehouse - a Salvation Army-run centre which supports young people aged 16-21 who have experienced homelessness to rebuild their lives.
Sally Anthony, Service Manager at Northlands Lifehouse said:
“This is the first time we’ve welcomed our local community into the grounds of Northlands Lifehouse. It is going to be lots of fun for families and people of all ages and our residents and staff are looking forward to it.
“We’re very proud of the work we do at Northlands Lifehouse with young people who have experienced homelessness. Here we support them to build up their confidence, learn new life skills and help them thrive and achieve in life.
“So please come along and join our summer fun day celebration on Saturday 21 July and celebrate the life changing work that’s done at Northlands Lifehouse to support local young people.”
Northlands Lifehouse is on 202 North Road in Cardiff and the summer fun day is on Saturday 21 July between 11.00am and 3.00pm.
