Remember a Charity Week: We join with other charities to pay tribute to living legends
published on 5 Sep 2014
Gifts in Wills make a huge difference to our work here at The Salvation Army. Over 40% of our income comes from people supporting us through gifts in their Wills and it’s thanks to this generosity that we are able to continue our vital work; providing care, compassion and practical support to those that need us most.
That’s why, this year we are taking part in Remember A Charity Week. The week runs from 8 –14 September and aims to inspire the nation to think about leaving a charitable gift in their Will. The Salvation Army is one of 140 member charities that will be taking part in the campaign.
This year’s campaign focuses on a theme of living legends with some of the UK’s greatest living legends coming together to mark the week. Rob Cope, director of the campaign says: ‘After taking care of your family and friends, leaving a gift in your Will to your favourite charity is truly a legendary thing to do.’
