99 Squadron
Individuals from 99 Squadron of 29 Regiment RLC each ran 99km in the space of just 7 days to raise money for The Salvation Army during the Covid-19 lockdown.
This is a run of over 14km per day, 7 days in a row! The task took place from the 18th - 24th of May 2020. Many completed the 99km in less than 7 days, with one individual completing it in 1 day!
"We chose The Salvation Army because of the amazing support you’re offering people throughout the lockdown period. From food banks, to supporting isolation units for NHS, we really wanted to do something to help. Our target was £1500 and in total, we raised £2692 so we were really pleased with this. We’re incredibly thankful for everyone’s generous donations and interest in our challenge. As a squadron, we ran 3850 in 7 days."
