Welcome to our friendly and relaxed worship community where we embrace and celebrate the creative chaos of life. Our worship meetings are full of laughter, fun, and an authentic desire to draw closer to Jesus and experience his presence.

We offer inspiring and practical Bible-based teaching to help you grow in your faith and live out your beliefs in everyday life. Our goal is to equip you with the tools you need to follow Jesus more closely and experience the abundant life He promises.

Our worship incorporates both traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs, supported by our brass band and songster brigade.

The Salvation Army has always had a passion for caring for the community in practical ways.

In Woking we show that care in a number of ways.

Food Bank partnership

We host the town's Food Bank at our hall in Sythwood every Tuesday and Friday, offering a safe place for people to get the support they need. We also act as a referral agency for the Food Bank.

Visitation in Lakeview

We're not content to sit on our heels and wait for those needing help to come to us. We head into our neighbourhood, visiting with our neighbours and offering pastoral care, meaningful relationships and practical support. 

Community Space

Our building is nestled between the Horsell allotments and the community of Lakeview, and is a resource for community groups and local organisations in which to meet and operate. We are privileged to host a children's nursery, a dance school, baby massage group, Keep fit for older people, AA, and more. Christmas Support

At Christmas we support families in need through our Toy Appeal, and partnering with the Food Bank ensure that no child or family goes without at Christmas. Last year we distributed over 200 food parcels and presents for over 600 kids! 

We are blessed to have a Brass Band and a Songster Brigade to aid our worship and witness.

Brass Band

Our brass band is led by Major (Dr) John Martin, and rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings at 7.45pm. If you are interested in joining the band, or would like information about its ministries, email woking@salvationarmy.org.uk.

Songster Brigade

This is our Salvation Army name for our choir, and the Songster Brigade aids in our worship with inspiring and reflective choral music most Sundays. Our Songster Leader is Jo Cox, and rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7.45pm. For more information contact woking@salvationarmy.org.uk.

Contemporary Music

On the first Sunday of each month, the Brass Band and Songster Brigade have the week off, and piano and guitar assist in accompanying our worship with more contemporary music.
