The coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on opportunities to raise money for The Salvation Army, particularly with the postponement of the Virgin Money London Marathon which is the world’s biggest one-day fundraising event.

The 2.6 Challenge campaign launches on Sunday 26 April with people able to take part by doing an activity based on the numbers 2.6 or 26.  This could include running 2.6 miles as part of your daily exercise outside the home, 26 minutes of dance at home or even juggling for 2.6 minutes. Set up a Justgiving page, fundraise or make a donation and be part of our army of Home Heroes!

The hope is that by  joining the nation in the 2.6 Challenge, supporters can help The Salvation Army replace the £1,000s lost by the cancellation or postponement of large fundraising events.

We would love to see and hear what you are planning together with the activity, so don’t forget to post your stories on social media using the hashtags #TwoPointSixChallenge #TeamSallyArmy and @salvationarmyuk

Thanks for your support! Team Sally Army
